OnRide connects Customers with local restaurants in Bancroft, offering food delivery services within a 5 km radius. OnRide acts as a third-party intermediary between customers and restaurants, facilitating the ordering and delivery of food. The services provided include:
- Placing an order from a participating restaurant.
- Processing payment securely through our platform.
- Delivering food to the specified address within the service area.
3. Eligibility
By using OnRide’s services, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age or have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the service.
- You are capable of entering into a legally binding contract under applicable law.
4. Account Registration
To use OnRide’s food delivery services, you may be required to create an account. By registering, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for the security of your account and must notify OnRide immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use.
5. Pricing & Payment
- Delivery Fees: OnRide charges a delivery fee of $8 per order within the 5 km delivery area in Bancroft. This fee is payable at the time of order and is non-refundable.
- Payments: All payments for orders must be made through the OnRide platform via the accepted payment methods. Payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors, and OnRide does not store credit card details.
- Tips: Customers are welcome to provide additional tips for drivers, though this is not mandatory.
- Prices listed on OnRide may vary from in-restaurant menu prices. These differences help support delivery services and ensure a smooth ordering experience.
6. Ordering Process
- Placing an Order: Customers can place orders through the OnRide website or mobile app. You are responsible for reviewing your order details before finalizing the payment.
- Order Modifications & Cancellations: Orders may only be modified or canceled before the restaurant begins preparing the food. OnRide will inform you of any changes to your order status. After preparation begins, cancellations are not possible, and no refund will be issued unless there is an error on our part.
- Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for ensuring that the information provided, including the delivery address and contact details, is correct. OnRide is not liable for delivery failures due to incorrect information.
7. Delivery Process
- Delivery Time: OnRide strives to deliver all orders within a reasonable time frame; however, delivery times may vary based on factors such as order volume, weather, traffic conditions, and restaurant preparation time.
- Availability: Delivery is available only within the 5 km radius of Bancroft, Ontario. Delivery is limited to areas where OnRide operates, and certain remote locations may not be eligible.
- Delivery Issues: If a delivery is delayed or a customer is unavailable to receive the order, OnRide will make reasonable efforts to contact you. If the customer is unreachable or refuses delivery, OnRide may return the order to the restaurant, and no refund will be issued.
- Damaged or Incorrect Orders: In the event that you receive a damaged or incorrect order, please contact OnRide customer support immediately. We will investigate the issue and may offer a resolution, such as a partial or full refund, or a re-delivery of the correct order, at our discretion.
8. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you agree to the following:
- Ensure that the delivery address is accurate and accessible.
- Be available to receive the order at the specified delivery time.
- Review your order thoroughly before confirming and making payment.
- Provide a safe and accessible environment for the delivery driver.
9. Restaurant Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Restaurants are responsible for preparing and packaging the food in accordance with their standards. OnRide is not liable for food quality or accuracy.
- Order Readiness: Restaurants must ensure that orders are ready for pickup at the scheduled time. OnRide is not liable for delays caused by the restaurant’s preparation time.
10. Restrictions on Use
You may not:
- Use OnRide’s services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, provincial, or federal laws.
- Attempt to interfere with the functionality of OnRide’s website or platform.
- Use automated methods to place orders or access OnRide’s services.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- OnRide is not responsible for any food allergies or sensitivities resulting from food ordered through our service.
- OnRide is not liable for any delays, errors, or damages related to food prepared by restaurants or the delivery process.
- OnRide’s maximum liability, in any event, will be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the affected order.
